It is monsoon season, and I am ill. That pretty much sums up the tone of my day thus far. Seriously. MONSOON. Animals are assembling two by two, and so on. I had to blow-dry my pants after walking the damn dog this morning.

And apparently I have the plague, or SARS. Probably one of the less-virulent 24-hour strains, of course, but that�s not going to hinder my three-ring circus of self-pity one bit. I�m sick! I�m at work! Any more tragic and fucking Thomas Hardy is going to write a novel about me, which will be made into a BBC miniseries with Jennifer Jason Leigh starring in the coveted role of me! Bring on the pity!

Now if you�ll excuse me, I have to go sit in a corner and sigh.
